I think we need to take a very cool view of existing contracts and treaty commitments. As we have seen, for example with the Budapest Memorandum, none of the other players can be presumed to honour their contractual obligations. Hitherto binding alliances can be torn up at a moment's notice. I believe we should take a very cold look at such contracts and abrogate them whenever they are not in Europe's favour. The same goes for the NPT.
