If our arms industries are not already pursuing joint development projects with Ukraine then we are led by donkeys. They have the ideal proving grounds. I think tank development will now move in the direction of active defence and digital coordination. To defeat drones will require light guns, EW and probably lasers, coordinated across multiple vehicles to share the load. That will in turn produce a new wave of EW development to defeat the coordination. I also expect fully-robotic tanks which can be smaller and faster, perhaps very lightly armoured because they can then be produced en masse and their loss does not cost personnel.
I've been watching the daily updates for artillery losses carefully, and they are completely unsustainable. I predict a crisis for Russian forces in a year or so.
