The Pi Variant

We’ve been hearing a lot about Omicron’s capacity to wreak havoc in unvaccinated populations. It is super-infectious, comparable to measles and in one case allegedly hopping across a hotel corridor between two guests who never even met. It is “mild” if you are vaccinated, but probably fully as lethal as Delta if you are not. This is bad enough, but I would be happy to sit back and watch US “red states” take their self-inflicted lumps if they were the only ones at risk.
